On a hillside overlooking the town of Ayr, with stunning views across to the Carrick Hills, Ayr town and the Isle of Arran, sits Acorn Cottage, a recent conversion, which has been beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard, offering comfortable and cosy accommodation on two levels.
The double bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom is reached by a staircase from the down stairs sitting room and kitchen and the shared garden offers fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.

Ash Cottage was a real "find". A very friendly family run business on a peaceful and well maintained farm just outside Ayr with stunning views from it's hillside location. We had been slightly concerned about a couple of things before we arrived there: firstly we didn't see any star-rating for it, and secondly it's close proximity to Prestwick Airport. We need not have worried on either count as the cottage would easily rate at 4 stars, and the very few planes leaving the airport actually added a bit of excitement for our early teens children (and there were no planes heard overnight!!). We had a lovely time and would definitely book Ash Cottage if travelling that way again.
With beautiful scenery, fascinating history, outdoor activities, some of the finest golf courses in the world, ancient castles, stunning country parks and gardens, bustling market towns and captivating visitor attractions there is plenty to do in Ayrshire
